Drinking Water Project – Safe Water for Every Family

PLANT, with the support of the MAPS CSR fund, has successfully implemented a comprehensive Drinking Water Project across 5 villages in the Kalpakkam surrounding Panchayat. This initiative has brought safe and accessible drinking water to more than 4,500 families, addressing a long-standing need in the region.

As part of the infrastructure development, 5 water tanks were constructed by MAPS to store and supply clean water. To identify reliable water sources, PLANT carried out Vertical Electrical Sounding (VES) to locate groundwater. Following this, 7 bore wells were successfully installed across the 5 beneficiary villages.

Today, thousands of people benefit from quality drinking water every single day, improving health outcomes and reducing the burden on women and children who previously had to walk long distances for water.

"Access to clean water is a basic human right. This project has transformed daily life for thousands of rural families."
